Our Teachers
Alvin Law
Alvin Law is a founding member and Partner of Bamboo Green. He is in charge of both operations and finance. Besides that, he is involved in conducting maths and science lessons for primary school level.
Prior to founding Bamboo Green, Alvin was a full-time tutor and the assistant manager of a leading education centre, which specializes in mathematics and science enrichment programmes and coaching for gifted primary school students. He also serves as a grassroot volunteer in the Bishan East-Thomson Constituency, holding the roles of Vice-Chairperson after just two terms in the office.
Alvin graduated from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with B.Eng in 1998.
Dave
Dave is a founding member, Senior Teacher and Partner of Bamboo Green. He is the curriculum director and main teacher in charge for secondary maths programs.
Dave started teaching since 2007, specializing in secondary level mathematics and additional mathematics. He is a prolific author, having published 7 maths books (Perfect Guide Additional Mathematics series, ‘O’ Level Mathematics Guided Practice series, Additional Maths 360 Guided Practice series and Additional Maths 360 Formula Book) with Marshall Cavendish.The electronic version of his Additional Maths 360 Formula Book is widely used by secondary schools in Singapore.
Dave graduated with B.Eng (Second Upper Honours) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Nanyang Technological University.
Clement
Clement Tan is a founding member, Partner and Managing Director of Bamboo Green, overseeing strategies and curriculum.
Prior to founding Bamboo Green, Clement had taught at Republic Polytechnic and in local secondary schools.
Previous to joining the teaching profession, Clement practised as a design engineer in protective infrastructures at Defence Science & Technology Agency, Singapore.
Clement earned an M.Ed. (Curriculum and Teaching) from National Institute of Education, Singapore, and a B.Eng. (First Class Honours) from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.
SK
SK is an ex-MOE teacher and Partner of Bamboo Green. He has taught in local secondary schools prior to becoming a full time tutor.
He is currently an ad-hoc MOE flexi-adjunct teacher (FAJT) and he specialises in secondary level mathematics (A&E Maths), lower secondary science and physics.
SK graduated with B.Eng (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from National University of Singapore in 2001 and with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from National Institute of Education (NIE, NTU) in 2003.
